Birds Eye View Thank You Card

I borrowed a book, a physical book, and created this card as a thank you when returning it. It was a natural stamp set to use, given the darling birds, stack of books and of course, the choice in eye glasses! I wanted to create a fun fold but I was traveling at the time (in other words, with limited supplies and tools) so I opted for a simple Z-fold.

I used Stampin’UP! watercolor pencils to color in the designs and though you can’t blend as well if using standard Basic White card stock (as opposed to true watercolor paper, which I didn’t have with me…), I still liked the softer look that the single swipe of the aqua brush achieved!

Here’s the inside of the card where I stamped the little cherub inside:

And of course, I stamped the envelope too since I was hand delivering the card in person:

Aren’t these birds adorable, especially with the glasses?? Love this set and can’t wait to use it again! Thanks for stopping by…have a wonderful day!
