I love making treat holders, they're so darned cute and they get to hold a special treat be it candy, chocolate, and so on. I love the look on someone's face when I give them one of these...and I usually have a little treat for each guest when I'm teaching a class. I made these darling little holders recently :
The paper is a pad of 6x6 printed papers from my local craft store that I've had in my stash for ages! The sentiment is from an old set by Stampin'UP! called Teeny Tiny Wishes and it's stamped on a scrap of white cardstock using the "Word Window" punch. I then layered it on another older punch for which I can't remember its proper name!
In a nutshell, you fold a 6x6 sheet of paper into a triangle, with the longest edge closest to you and the point away from you. Let's call this point "12 o'clock". Fold the bottom right corner to the opposite edge of the paper, approximately to the 10 o'clock mark. Then fold the bottom left corner up towards 2 o'clock. Then fold one of the two flaps at 12 o'clock down towards you. Embellish at will!
You can also adjust the angle of the fold somewhat to accommodate a wider (or taller) item that you want in the holder.
If you've got an adorable printed paper, it's so easy to make this treat holder look so darned cute! Please drop me a line if you end up making this.
Thanks for stopping by...have a wonderful day!
