Mermaid Tail shaker birthday card

What a fun shaker card! I made this in two color variations (though it seems that I did not photograph the blue version):

This is the inside of the card, behind the shaker:

I don’t have a photo of the main page of the inside of the card as I wrote in it before thinking to take a photo! But I have all the photos for the second variation in color:

Shaker cards are always so much fun to make …and hopefully receive!

Have a wonderful day & thanks for stopping by…

Faux Shaker Cards with Santas Express DSP

Apologies that I didn't finish posting some of my holiday cards in early January but I was out of town for a few days then caught a nasty flu from my family. And then I was out for several weeks! Stay healthy folks...!!

I wanted to make an interactive card and decided to make faux shaker cards. I used Santa's Express DSP and cut a 4x5.25" panel of it. Then I put the DSP into a clear cellophane bag sized for an A2 card and tucked in the edge on one side to fit the panel snugly. I added various sequins into the bag and taped it shut! Ribbon across and a die cut of the Ho Ho Ho side of one of the other designs in the DSP pack and ...the card was done! Here are a couple of close ups of both:

Thanks for stopping by...have a wonderful day!

Shaker Valentine with Sweet Talk

Here’s a fun Valentine shaker card I made recently and mailed off to some special little friends. I used a variety of supplies…The heart is die cut using the larger heart from the  Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder set. The red dot paper is from the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper pack and I used the Window Sheets to create the “window” for the heart shaker. I then used foam adhesive strips to follow the shape of the heart on the underside, added some faceted sequins (retired) on the card base, centered over where the heart would be positioned, then adhered it to the front to the Basic White card base. Oh and before adhering anything to the card base, I stamped the hearts along the top and side. The conversation hearts and Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment are all from the Sweet Talk photopolymer stamp set (retired).

Here is a list of the non-retired supplies used to make this card (at the time of posting):
Basic white cardstock 8.5x11” (item #159276)
Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder (item #157641)
Flowering Fields DSP (item#157670)
Window Sheets (item #142314)
Foam Adhesive Strips (item#141825)
Tombow Multipurpose Glue (item#110755)
Poppy Parade Stamp Pad (item #147050)
Daffodil Delight Stamp Pad (item #147094)
Polished Pink Stamp Pad (item#155712)
Highland Heather Stamp Pad (item #147103)
