Summer “pink drink” barista name tag embellishment and more!

Earlier this summer, I recreated this summer-time fave in a mini form for my fave barista’s name tag!  This time, I used alcohol inks to create a bright pink mottled, variegated paper from which I die cut a “drink cup”. And added a signature green straw of course! In the spirit of the summertime fave “pink drink”….

And I now realize that I never posted two previous name tag embellishments: an adorable chick (calling spring!) and a coffee cup!  Here are the previous two name tag decorations:

And since I was too late for Spring or Easter, I didn’t mount the chick onto a tag…hopefully next year…If I can find it again!! LOL

 

Waterfall birthday card

I love using the excuse of a special card to try a new-to-me fun fold or card design. So I created this waterfall card…I had looked at a tutorial long ago but it didn’t seem to make sense and I guess I was in an impatient mood that day. I did a different card design that time. But on this day, I was determined! So I used one of my all-time favorite DSPs: Hues of Happiness. And this is how the card turned out:

To write a personalized message so I added a panel on the back. Not too bad for my first waterfall card I think. Definitely lots of fun to make, and hopefully receive too!

A Coffee Kind of Day card

 I have a retired stamp and die set called “Nothing’s Better Than” and the die set called “Love You More Than…” which I hadn’t used yet. So I jumped on the opportunity to include a “coffee” card with a gift set of Starbuck coffees that my daughter donated to a community silent auction.  I thought it’d be the perfect occasion to include a hand made card with it. And this is what I came up with:

I love the vintage style of the coffee cup and chose a teal ink, like the old melamine dinner sets that were popular several decades ago!

And of course the inside is embellished simply, with the same vintage coffee cup as well as the envelope…after all, the little touches add so much to a handmade item!

Just a fun little card. Someday I hope to have (or make) the excuse to use the other images in this stamp set: cocktails, chocolates and cookies!! Stay tuned…
